The new American Radio Archives and Museum building will be constructed contiguous to the City of Thousand Oaks' 84,000 square foot main library, The Grant R Brimhall Library.

Key components that will be included within the new building are:

  • Students' Radio Theater
  • Museum display area
  • Norman Corwin Listening Room
  • State of the art archival facilities to house our expanding collection
  • Engineering and disk jockey booth
  • Office and working spaces for the archivists
  • Other support and related spaces

Cost of the project: Estimates place the cost of this project at approximately $30-35 million. This includes a $5 million endowment which will be used to support the operating costs of the building. Honorary co-chairs of the capital campaign to raise the funds required to complete this project are Robert H. Ahmanson and Norman Corwin.
